Submission Rubric
Suggested Prompt:
The effects of literary texts, philosophical movements, and socio-political ideologies of the ancient world on modern present-day communities and politics.
Issue Frequency and Information:​
There are 2 issues per year — a Winter issue and a Spring issue.
Winter Issue 2023 — Submission window opens on July 1st, 2023 and closes January 1st, 2024. This issue will be published on February 1st, 2024.
Spring issue 2024 — Submission window opens January 1st, 2024, and closes April 1st, 2024. This issue will be published on May 1st, 2024.
Note: all dates of issue are subject to alteration.
Chosen writers will be made aware of their paper's selection via e-mail.
Submission requirements and restrictions:
Only one submission per person for each issue permitted.
While one is not permitted
to re-submit a paper, there is a possibility that papers may be re-evaluated for publication in a later issue if not initially selected.
Note: one will be notified via email in this case scenario.
Submissions must be within the range of 5-12 pages.
Note: these essential pages may not include the title page, reference list, images/graphs, etc.
​Include a title page (include: paper title, name, date, and your school).
MLA Font and Margin Spacing — Double-spaced, 12-point Times New Roman font, 1" margins.
One must submit a PDF or document link to be reviewed.
While during the selection process we will accept any style of formatting, if one’s paper is chosen, one must resubmit it with Chicago Manual of Style formatting and the CMS author date for citations.
Publication Logistics​:
Edited and selected research papers will comprise a final journal. This journal will be published on our website and emailed in our newsletter.
We reserve the right to print out the journal, and ship paperback copies to subscribers who are interested.
Only grammatical edits will be made.​
